Design Concept

Inspired by Ipoh’s vibrant Cantonese-speaking culture, this design brings familiar Cantonese sayings, neighbourhood catchphrases, and everyday humour into apparel through retro Chinese typography and hand-drawn street-style illustrations.

The collection preserves the humour of Cantonese, the warmth of the neighbourhood, and the distinct local flavour of Ipoh—allowing our voices, culture, and shared memories to live on through what we wear.

设计源自怡保浓厚的广东话生活文化，将熟悉的广东话俗语、街坊口头禅与生活幽默，结合复古中文排版和手绘街头插画，重新融入服饰之中。

希望透过设计，保留广东话独有的幽默味、街坊人情味与怡保本地味，把属于我们的声音穿上身，让这份文化与成长记忆继续传下去。
